Spa Requirements

16 years and older. Those between 16 and 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. All services performed on guests under the age of 18 require parental consent prior to the booking being accepted. So that all guests may experience a pleasant and peaceful environment, we ask that only those receiving services accompany you to the spa & salon.

Spa Reservations

Guests are encouraged to book treatments in advance or at the conclusion of your last service to ensure their preferred time is available. Our professional staff allocates time especially for each guest; therefore, a credit card and deposit are required to guarantee these reservations. All spa & salon services are subject to availability. Menu service and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Credit cards are required to reserve all appointments, including those using gift cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Special Considerations

Guests who are pregnant must be out of first trimester for all services. Please notify our staff at time of booking if there are any special physical or medical needs or conditions they need to consider prior to your services (i.e., pregnancy, food or product sensitivities or aggressive medications).

Treatment Preparation 

Guests are kindly requested to arrive 20 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time. For a new guest, please allow 30 minutes to accommodate completion of your guest profile. It is recommended that guests avoid heavy meals within 90 minutes of their scheduled treatment. Spa robes, slippers, private lockers, and beverages are provided for your comfort. Delayed arrival will limit the time for your experience, reducing the effectiveness of your treatment and the expectations of your visit. In consideration of other spa guests, service time will not be extended for delayed arrivals, and the full price 

Spa Environment 

Use of mobile phones is prohibited in and around Giselaine’s Spa.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Spa guests are required to provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling during spa & salon operating hours. Changes made within 48 hours will be subject to a $50 charge. As a courtesy, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation prior to your arrival. A 48-hour advance cancellation notice is required for any spa packages and multiple treatments lasting more than two hours. All no-show reservations will be assessed a charge at full value of services. Spa Parties are subject to terms of agreement for cancellations.

Refunds

Unopened retail products are exchangeable within seven days of purchase with original receipt.

Valuables

We recommend that valuable items be left at home. Personal lockers are provided in changing rooms. Giselaine’s Spa is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Pricing 

All prices are in USD and subject to a 20% mandatory gratuity charge. Retail products will have a local tax rate of 5.5%.

Spa Payments and Gift Cards

Payments are accepted in the form of cash, most major credit cards and gift cards from Giselaine’s Spa and Boothbay Harbor Country Club. Gift cards contain value which may be used to purchase products and services at face value. This card cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. The card must be presented at time of purchase and the available balance will be applied to the transaction. Prices are subject to change without notice. This card is non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Any unused balance will remain on the card. This card is not transferable, and Giselaine’s Spa is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged, or unauthorized use of the card. No express or implied warranties apply.
